Overview
Evergreen is a master-planned community comprising approximately 1,300 lots across 30 stages, located at the very southeastern edge of the Clyde Creek Precinct Structure Plan. Evergreen comprises a government and non-government school, sports fields, significant parks, drainage reserves, community facility and local town centre. Tailoring the street network’s design to reflect the local park’s locations maximises greenspace vistas creating a distinctive urban character. Evergreen is the sixth community delivered by Stockland in the south-east corridor.
Work Undertaken
Beveridge Williams has provided project management, town planning, engineering (civil, drainage, traffic), urban design, survey and hydrogeological services for this project.
Once the land was acquired, the site was divided into different titles to ensure that the estate could be delivered with minimal delays, noting the many servicing and cultural heritage challenges that it presented. Strong relationships with authorities were critical to the project’s success, and proactive communication and collaboration were imperative both internally and externally. Regular meetings with Council and authorities kept them informed at every stage. We enjoyed fast responses and greater acceptance of our design options because we had buy-in from officers at different authorities.
