Overview
Clouston Associates – a division of Beveridge Williams- was engaged by the Old Fairbridgians Association to develop an interpretive park that marks the legacy of one of Britain’s largest child migration schemes. From 1938 to 1973, nearly 1000 children journeyed to a new life at the Fairbridge Farm School outside Moolong in regional NSW.
The Park conveys a strong story of the human experience of the Fairbridge children’s journey. The narrative is displayed through landscape spaces, planting, positioning of relevant artefacts and new art installations. It is a place of beauty and tranquillity – an antidote to the hardship and isolation of its former residents.
