Project Overview
Forrest Green – The Precinct is a 129-lot residential development located in Armstrong Creek, designed to create a sustainable, connected, and community-focused neighbourhood. The client’s vision was to deliver a high-quality residential community that balances environmental sensitivity with modern urban living.
From the feasibility stage through to construction supervision, Beveridge Williams has been actively involved across multiple disciplines, including urban design, planning approvals, surveying, civil engineering, wetland design (by WRE), and project management. Our integrated approach ensured consistency, efficiency, and alignment with both client and council expectations.
A key component of the project involved negotiating wetland works and DCP-related conditions with the City of Greater Geelong, ensuring that the development remained both commercially feasible and environmentally responsible. The wetland design was strategically significant, not only meeting regulatory and sustainability requirements but also providing long-term community benefits through improved local amenity and stormwater management outcomes.
Through proactive coordination, cost control, and stakeholder engagement, the project achieved early completion while maintaining strict compliance with planning, design, and environmental standards. The result is a development that demonstrates strong community value, commercial success, and sustainable design excellence.
One of the key challenges on this project was managing multiple stakeholders and negotiating with the adjacent landowner to enable the delivery of the ultimate wetland. This required careful coordination, clear communication, and a collaborative approach to ensure all parties’ objectives were understood and met.
Through regular meetings, consultation with the client, and proactive engagement with all stakeholders, we successfully achieved the desired outcomes. This collaborative approach not only resolved potential delays but also ensured the project progressed efficiently and in alignment with both environmental and commercial goals.
