New McDonald’s Farm Playground and Reserve, Ramlegh Springs

Overview

The design of the Stage 8 Park has strong ties to the important memories of the site which until recently had been a working farm. The play space includes traditional equipment such as see-saws, swings and slides, along with custom items that foster imaginative play such as a tractor and a colourful feature abstract windmill which landmarks the reserve.

Open lawn spaces provide respite and flexibility, and active infrastructure including a basketball half court facilitates social recreational opportunities, all serviced by a range of custom and proprietary seating.

The design of the park enhances visual connections to the adjacent wetlands from the shelter amenity area and provides a path network that connects through to this drainage corridor and overall neighbourhood.
