Our land use, built form and infill specialists diligently navigate the Council planning process across a spectrum of residential, commercial, industrial, institutional, and mixed-use developments.
We provide a range of services including:
Early engagement enables us to offer initial insights that can shape and refine project plans, potentially saving both time and resources by addressing considerations upfront.
Maximise your land’s potential with our in-depth planning advice, including a full analysis of applicable planning policy, Planning Scheme provisions, constraints, and opportunities. We identify potential planning challenges early on, to mitigate delays later.
Before committing to a property purchase or lease, we can provide expert planning guidance to inform your decision-making process. This can include a preliminary desktop review of site details or an on-site inspection with tailored advice or it can include a formal due diligence or feasibility assessment. Whether you have a project concept in mind or are exploring potential uses, our advice helps align your acquisition or sale with your objectives.
We advocate strongly for pre-application engagement with Council to streamline the application process. This allows any Council concerns to be addressed proactively.
From lodgement to decision, we offer comprehensive planning permit application services, managing all communications, submissions and negotiations. Throughout the process, we maintain communication with clients to ensure they stay informed every step of the way.
Our team also supports clients through public notice and objection phases, addressing feedback and managing the community engagement process.
Our team excels in evaluating code compliance and works closely with builders, architects, and designers to address non-compliances and to justify variations where necessary.
Our expertise includes:
When planning disputes arise, or decisions aren’t favourable, Beveridge Williams represents clients at the Victorian Civil and Administrative Tribunal (VCAT) or Land Environment Court. Our team is experienced in a wide range of planning matters.
Beveridge Williams offers in-house services across landscape architecture, traffic and parking, waste management, survey, urban design, environmental assessments (contamination and groundwater), and water resource and civil engineering, providing a seamless experience for our clients, or our planners can work alongside your existing team.
