Vi Dahara – Infrastructure Engineer
As a graduate with an unconventional academic path, I found BW to be incredibly welcoming. Joining the fast-paced infrastructure team, I encountered a keen, engaged mentor and friend in every team member. Since my induction, I have seen my development as an engineering professional skyrocket, with each new project posing a new challenge that I feel exceptionally well-supported to undertake, which in turn has substantially bolstered my confidence as I progress through my career.
My colleagues genuinely care about my growth and well-being as a young engineer. Between coffee chats, the surprisingly frequent offering of baked goods someone brings to the infrastructure table and Friday night parma outings, there’s a strong sense of community and genuine respect for work-life balance, which is personally huge for me.
The BW Graduate Program offers structure and common ground so that a clear career progression guide is always ahead of you, but it also has enough flexibility to choose where it goes. With managers facilitating experiences to propel you further into your interests, there’s always a strong sense of agency over your career. Frequent catch-ups and a personalised management style entail plenty of opportunities to finetune your trajectory into precisely what you want it to be.
