Riverfield Square

Site Location: Clyde, VIC

Project Overview

Riverfield Square is a major new residential community in Clyde, forming part of the broader Riverfield masterplanned development by Brown Property Group. Designed to deliver around 1,800 residential lots, the project is a significant addition to Melbourne’s southeast growth corridor, providing new housing opportunities in a well-connected and carefully planned environment.

Beveridge Williams has been engaged as the lead consultant on the project, bringing expertise across urban design, engineering design, surveying, planning, construction management and project management. This multidisciplinary role ensures that every stage of Riverfield Square is delivered to the highest standard, from initial subdivision planning through to completion of complex infrastructure works.

The project includes the delivery of two major wetlands and involves works within conservation areas, which are being carefully managed in line with approvals from the Department of Energy, Environment and Climate Action (DEECA).

These features not only support local biodiversity but also contribute to the community’s open space network, which will include more than 28 hectares of parks, landscaped reserves, and recreational trails. A 2.2-hectare central park will form the heart of Riverfield Square, providing a focal point for families and a safe place to gather, play and connect.

Supporting infrastructure is also a key focus. The project involves multiple Development Contributions Plan (DCP) road projects, including upgrades to the local arterial road network that will improve accessibility to Clyde and the surrounding suburbs. More than two kilometres of large-diameter branch sewer are also being constructed, providing essential services not only for Riverfield Square but also for future growth in the area.

Residents will benefit from a location that strikes a balance between natural amenities and convenience. The master plan provides for two future government primary schools, while existing education options are located within a short distance. A major town centre is planned nearby, complementing existing shopping facilities in Clyde North and Cranbourne. Future transport connections, including the proposed Clyde train station, will further enhance accessibility and support the community’s long-term growth.
