We currently have an opportunity a highly motivated Graduate Civil Engineer who is ready to kick start their career in a friendly and supportive team environment based in our Malvern office. During our two-year Engineering Graduate Program, graduates are trained in design, infrastructure, water resources engineering and construction, playing roles in major projects within these disciplines. Their depth of knowledge is broadened even further through exposure to other areas of the business, including surveying, town planning, environmental consulting & Landscape Architecture.

 

As a Graduate Engineer you will:

  • Participate in assigned projects ensuring appropriate technical skills are being used.
  • Supported & mentored to become a well rounded Civil Engineer, while given opportunities to be collaborate with our Town Planning, Landscape Architecture & Surveying teams.
  • Ensure that any project documentation developed, is in accordance with both client brief and statutory regulations while ensuring all QA standards are met.
  • Contribute to the development & design for road, drainage, sewer, water & wetlands, construction & land development.
  • Assist with site surveillance.
  • Liaise with external consultants i.e. Electrical, Communication & Structural Engineers.

Required skills and experience:

  • Recently graduated or graduating this year, with your bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering.
  • Ability to use a range of computer software applications relevant to this role, including MS Office applications and CAD (12D. AutoCAD or Microstation)
  • High level of interpersonal, written and communication skills
  • Highly organised with the capacity to manage several competing tasks at once and work to deadlines
  • Understanding of Planning and Environmental legislation
  • Strong attention to detail in completion of tasks and practical knowledge of engineering techniques
  • Commitment to furthering your career as a consultant engineer in land development
