Our Board and Executive Team comprises of a group of experienced professionals whose priority is the safety of our staff, providing the best service to our valued client’s, and the career development of all at BW.

Grant Hailes

Grant has been a Director of Beveridge Williams since 1999 and the sole Managing Director since 2013. He has built strong relationships with staff, clients and authorities as well as having extensive experience in urban development.

Grant has been the Project Director for several award-winning projects and is always looking for better ways to add value and to enhance a project for our clients. He is involved in many industry groups, is an active member of the CEO Institute and a graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors. Grant’s passion is in customer service and in optimising outcomes through collaborative relationships.

Michael Doery

Peter Toole

Peter joined Beveridge Williams as a graduate surveyor in Leongatha in 1981. Peter has been a part of the company’s management team and a Director for over 30 years.

Peter became a Licenced Surveyor in 1984 and, soon after, opened the company’s Wonthaggi office. His professional expertise is in cadastral surveying, rural town planning and project management. In his current role as Regional Manager for Victoria he ably oversees the management of our 7 offices in rural Victoria.

Kellie Hassab

Kellie is qualified Surveyor and Registered Planner with a postgraduate qualification in Environmental Studies. Her 26 years’ experience in the development industry is diverse and her surveying background supports a common-sense approach to land development solutions that meet clients’ needs and expectations.

Her leadership is instrumental in the growth of Beveridge Williams in NSW, overseeing a team over 125 employees and expanding the service offering across this state. Kellie also plays major roles in the surveying profession, including as incoming Chair of the Association of Consulting Surveyors NSW and a mentor for the future generations of surveyors.

Tiffany Su

Tiffany started with Beveridge Williams in July 2009 as a Financial Accountant and was promoted to her current role of Financial Controller in March 2011.

Tiffany gained her experience from working for both private and listed companies in Australia. She is responsible for the company’s financial management and reporting, relevant statutory compliance, tax and payroll. She also provides strategic financial advice for the company in areas such as mergers and acquisitions.

Bernard Collins

With a focus on achieving great outcomes for clients and enhancing the urban form, Bernard has had an extensive career across local and regional government, within not-for-profit agencies and large corporations - focussing the last 20 years in consulting, and land development in particular. His experience lies in statutory and strategic planning, community consultation, policy development and project management. Bernard is responsible for the Design and Strategy division of Beveridge Williams, which includes Town Planning, Urban Design, Traffic and Transport and the Landscape Architecture teams in Darwin, Sydney and Melbourne. He continues to assist long term clients on projects and provides due diligence and advisory support to a broad client base.

Andrew Busse

Andrew is a Licensed Surveyor who joined Beveridge Williams in 1997. Andrew currently manages the Melbourne Surveying Division and NSW Region of Beveridge Williams.

Andrew’s diverse range of projects over 25 years of surveying experience allows him to implement innovative surveying solutions to meet our clients’ needs and expectations. He became a company Director in 2017 and is a Graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors. Andrew is a board member and past President of Consulting Surveyors Victoria and a board member of Consulting Surveyors National.

Andrew Mellett

Andrew Mellett is the leader of the Environmental Division of the organisation, with over 20 years of environmental consulting experience behind him. He has been a serving member of the ACLCA Executive Committee (Victorian Chapter), a project director and provides evidence as an expert witness.

After completing his Master of Business Administration, Andrew now also oversees strategy and operations for the company, driving the business planning process and streamlining operations for maximum efficiency as the organisation continues to expand.

Jackson Zaal

Jackson is a Civil and Environmental Engineer with many years of experience in land development and infrastructure projects across Victoria. His initial engineering experience within Beveridge Williams has been in the Gippsland region, working in design, construction management and project management.

After relocating to the Ballarat office in 2016, Jackson become Manager of the Western Victoria region, focussing on client satisfaction, delivering the highest service levels and building staff capabilities. He has played a fundamental role in the expansion of the business across this region and provides leadership input into the organisation as a member of the Senior Management Team.

Design & Strategy (VIC)

The Beveridge Williams Design and Strategy team (VIC) is comprised of professionals committed to delivering high quality urban and recreational places for future residents. Great design outcomes are at the core of all we do, and our experienced team is involved in our projects from commencement to completion to ensure the original design vision is achieved.

Bernard Collins

Bernard’s background is in statutory and strategic planning, community consultation, policy development and project management and he has over 25 years’ experience in these areas. Bernard’s clients can range from industry leaders to local landowners. He advises on various planning aspects of their projects, represents them to State and Local Government and helps them achieve their project goals.

Alisanne Boag

Alisanne has significant experience in coordinating planning and integrated approvals packages, and undertaking strategic land use assessments, having more than 20 years’ experience in this field. She provides approvals and strategic planning services to clients in both the public and private sector. She is also an experienced Project Manager with expertise in site analysis, feasibility and project coordination for the delivery of land development projects.

Andrea Boully

With over 25 years’ experience in the development industry, Andrea has a strong background in the residential land and housing market. Andrea has experience in both the public and private sectors, including with state government, private developers, builders and, for the last 14 years, in consultancy. This strong experience in residential development is actively applied to a range of projects at Beveridge Williams.

Bronwyn is a Registered Landscape Architect with more than 10 years professional experience, working on broad range of projects across Local Government and within the private sector. Bronwyn’s project experience varies from small scale neighbourhood parks and wetland projects to educational campuses, residential estates and major infrastructure works. Bronwyn is committed to providing high quality integrated public spaces that connect and respect communities, whilst enhancing the social, cultural and environmental aspects of landscapes.

Environmental

The Environmental Team at Beveridge Williams have scientific expertise and technologies to assess and facilitate remediation of site contamination. You can trust that we keep up-to-date with environmental legislation, investigation and clean-up standards, risk assessment procedures and remediation technologies in order to give you the latest and best advice.

Andrew Mellett

Andrew has over 20 years environmental experience, including 17 years at Beveridge Williams. He has directed over 300 Phase 1 and Phase 2 contamination assessments including remediation projects and statutory environmental audit assessments for councils, state government departments and private developers. Andrew has also been a serving member of the ACLCA Executive Committee (Victorian Chapter) and has provided evidence as an expert witness.

Adam Hayes

Adam has over 15 years’ experience across many environmental projects including environmental site assessments (soil, groundwater and vapour) and site remediations including works as part of Statutory Environmental Audits for a diverse range of clients including local government, government departments and private developers. He also has experience in preparation of soil management and remediation plans and site suitability and site history assessments.

Andrew Busse

Andrew is a Licensed Surveyor who joined Beveridge Williams in 1997. Andrew currently manages the Melbourne Surveying Division and NSW Region of Beveridge Williams.

Andrew’s diverse range of projects over 25 years of surveying experience allows him to implement innovative surveying solutions to meet our clients’ needs and expectations. Jim Wiggins

Jim is a Licensed Surveyor with over 25 years experience working in Victoria and Queensland.

Jim spent the first ten years of his career working on major construction, infrastructure and mining projects in Melbourne and rural Queensland. Since achieving registration as a Licensed Surveyor in 2004, he has worked exclusively on cadastral survey projects in Victoria. Jim specialises in providing all surveying services required for the successful completion of greenfield subdivisions of various sizes, within various municipalities.

Mick Swales

Mick graduated from RMIT as a Surveyor in the mid 1980’s and has been a Licensed Surveyor for nearly 30 years.

Since joining Beveridge Williams 16 years ago, he has been a manager in the Melbourne Survey Infrastructure division, working on cadastral, feature and set out surveys on significant Victorian infrastructure projects. Mick has worked on projects such as Eastlink, Peninsula Link, the City Tulla Widening Project, the Western Tunnel Project, the Level Crossing Removal Project. as well as a large proportion of the Major VicRoads projects in that timeframe.

Sean O’Connor

Sean has gained extensive cadastral and infrastructure experience over the past 22 years, while working on many of Melbourne’s major infrastructure projects.

Sean provides project management support and carries out the cadastral components of several of our major Estates. His diverse experience gained from his involvement in each of the survey departments ensures he maintains the existing high standard of work, quality procedures are followed and time frames are met.

Western Victoria has become a desirable place to live and as such our team continues to expand with offices in Geelong and Ballarat. Our professional staff deliver expert surveying, engineering, project management and town planning advice to ensure our projects are delivered within our client’s expectations.

Jackson Zaal

Jackson is a Civil and Environmental Engineer with over 10 years experience in land development and infrastructure projects across Victoria. Jackson joined Beveridge Williams in 2011 gaining broad experience in the Gippsland region working in design, construction management and project management. He became Manager of the Ballarat office in 2016. Jackson has a focus on client satisfaction, delivering the best possible service and building the capabilities of his staff.

Ryan Cross

Ryan joined Beveridge Williams in 2019 as a Project Manager and has been responsible for establishing the Geelong office.

Ryan leads and manages the engineers across our Ballarat and Geelong offices, using his 15 years of experience engineering land development and infrastructure projects in Metro and Regional Victoria. He has also worked in Darwin delivering subdivisions in remote communities for the Northern Territory Government. His experience is diverse having worked in Design, Construction and Project Management. Ryan has a focus on innovative and economical project outcomes for our clients.

Katherine Martin

Katherine has gained extensive experience in the land development industry in her role as both a surveyor and town planner.

Since starting at Beveridge Williams in 2010, Katherine has worked on a diverse range of projects including cadastral, engineering and feature surveys, along with a range of use and development and subdivision planning applications. As a result, Katherine has a thorough working knowledge of the subdivision and land development process.

Katherine’s skillset and background allow her to balance competing development constraints and advocate for good development outcomes, while focussing on communication and client satisfaction.

Matthew has over 15 years experience in the public and private sectors in delivery of Civil Engineering projects. He has an extensive background in residential developments, their integration into the existing surrounds and design of the upgrade of existing public infrastructure. Matthew has expertise in a wide range of areas and broad knowledge of industry related technical detail and design software packages.

Ning Zhang

Prue Burbury

Prue’s project work as a Senior Landscape Architect has encompassed a diverse range of landscape typologies with a recent focus on land developments including parks, public open spaces, wetland reserves and streetscapes.

Prue has worked in both urban and regional areas throughout Victoria and possesses a thorough understanding of the design process from initiation to final completion. Prue has experience working with government authorities, developers, architects, engineers and other stakeholders.

She strives to create communities that provide access to good quality, well-maintained public spaces, whilst considering economic, social and environmental needs. She wants green space to have a positive effect on health and quality of life for communities.

Eastern Victoria Region

Our Eastern Victoria division has offices Warragul, Traralgon and Sale. These offices provide consultancy services in project management, town planning, survey and engineering.

Bruce Vroegop

Bruce is a Licensed Surveyor with more than 25 years experience and joined Beveridge Williams in 1998.

Bruce currently manages the Traralgon and Warragul offices delivering services to diverse clients such as Loy Yang Power, VicRoads, Land Victoria, local government and private clients and developers. Bruce is renowned for his knowledge of the land development and infrastructure industries in the Gippsland region.

Simon Whitford

Simon has more than 25 years experience as a Surveyor and became a Licensed Surveyor in 1997.

Simon joined Beveridge Williams in 2008 after having previously developed skills in project management, cadastral surveying for land development projects and engineering surveying, while working for major construction companies throughout Victoria and NSW. Simon currently manages the Sale and Bairnsdale offices.

He has twenty-two years of experience in private, state and local government sectors across both Victoria and Western Australia. He is skilled in multi-lot subdivision, commercial, industrial, rural & residential land use and development as well as land rezoning. These skills are applied across Central and East Gippsland in a wide range of projects.

Adam Maher

Adam joined Beveridge Williams in 2008 as a Licensed Surveyor and currently manages the Wonthaggi and Leongatha offices. Adam has over 25 years experience in surveying, strongly linked with the development industry and large projects in Melbourne, rural Victoria and New Zealand. Adam’s depth of knowledge of the development process, land law and technical surveying adds value to the Wonthaggi/Leongatha team in projects for both the public and private sectors.

Lincon has worked in the land development industry for over 20 years and has experience in surveying and project management. Lincon started work at Beveridge Williams’ as a Licenced Surveyor and then moved into project management, focusing mainly on residential land developments.

His strong communications skills and eye for detail enables him to achieve the timely delivery of developments and the best outcomes for clients.

Nick has been working in the NSW surveying industry for over 8 years. Nick is responsible for the growth of the company and client liaison in the Maitland and surrounding regions, providing titling solutions to clients. He has gained experience in a variety of projects across various parts of the state, including works for Transport for NSW (formerly RMS), various Council’s, Private Developers and Civil Companies.

David Smith

Ben Cummins

Ben has over 25 years’ experience in survey, became a Registered Surveyor in 2007 and has managed innumerable large and small survey projects in his time in the profession. In his role as Survey Manager for over 15 years he has developed skills in all areas of cadastral and topographic surveying whilst managing people and projects to deliver a high standard of land surveys.

He is particularly knowledgeable in Community Title Schemes and complex titling issues and at all times gives attention to detail, ensuring quality and integrity in the output of the team.

Mark Andrew

Mark, a Registered Surveyor who joined Beveridge Williams in 2021, manages the NSW Surveying division of Beveridge Williams. He specialises in complex titling and Subdivision solutions to ensure our clients have the very best outcome for their projects. Mark has over 36 years’ experience in Sydney and NSW development and ran his own company for 20 years. Mark is a former Board member and past President of Consulting Surveyors NSW and is currently Chairman of the association of Consulting Surveyors Insurance Society (ACSIS).

Angela Ryan

Angela is a Registered Surveyor with 15 years’ experience in land development. Her technical expertise has been built from years as a project surveyor on large greenfield subdivisions in the South West Sydney Growth Centre, guiding developers and consultants through projects from paddocks to residential communities.

She is an industry leader in LandXML survey plan lodgements and is proficient in all aspects of cadastral and topographic surveying.

Robert Polson

Robert is an Accredited Certifier (Strata) BPB 1897 and a Registered Land Surveyor. Robert manages the delivery and coordination of Dual Occupancy, Strata, Stratum, Old System, Torrens and Community Title land subdivision projects. As a Strata specialist, his expertise includes the assessment and issue of Complying Certificates and the assessment and issue of Strata Certificates for Strata Subdivision projects.

NSW Engineering

About the team: The NSW Engineering Team provides services to deliver the civil engineering required for land development and infrastructure projects by drawing on the experience and collaboration of all team members to provide the right engineering solution for the Client.

Shane Gray

Shane is a qualified Civil Engineer with over 15 years of experience in engineering and project management in the private sector in both Australia and Canada. He has extensive experience in the land development process and has been responsible for the design and construction of significant land development projects and local government infrastructure including roads, bridges and stormwater management facilities.

Matt Parker

Matthew is accredited with Sydney Water as a Water Servicing Coordinator covering all disciplines. Matthew has been a Water Service Coordinator for over 25 years with experience as a Sydney Water Infrastructure Designer, Supervisor and Project Manager. He has extensive experience in the design of wastewater, pressure sewer systems, potable and recycled water infrastructure for private developer, local government, and NSW RMS for projects of varying complexity and size.

Design & Strategy (NSW)

Great planning and design outcomes are at the core of all we do, and our experienced team of planners is involved in our projects from commencement to completion to ensure the original design vision is achieved.

Kellie Hassab

Kellie is qualified Surveyor and Registered Planner with a postgraduate qualification in Environmental Studies.

Kellie has a passion for sustainable land development. She takes a holistic view of the process, considering the economic, social and environmental needs and implications of every project from inception through to completion. Her 22 years experience in the development industry is diverse and her surveying background supports a common sense approach to land development solutions that meet clients’ needs and expectations. Kellie is a mentor for the Consulting Surveyors NSW and Board of Surveying and Spatial Information town planning workshops, mentoring surveying candidates through the registration process. She is the Consulting Surveyors NSW first female Board member and currently holds the position of Treasurer.

Julie Garratley

Julie is a Registered Planner offering experience in the planning and development industry. Julie has experience in both the public and private sectors, including local government and consultancy. She has excellent communication skills and experience in site analysis, project management/coordination and the preparation of supporting documentation. Julie’s expertise is actively applied to a range of projects at Beveridge Williams.

Natasha Moring

Natasha is a Registered Planner who offers over 20 years’ experience in the planning and development industry. Natasha has expertise in statutory planning, site analysis, due diligence/feasibility assessment, project coordination and management, preparation of planning reports and development documentation, planning expert witness for Land and Environment Court, liaising/briefing/coordinating various specialist consultants and managing and liaising with clients and Government authorities.

Subservice Utility Investigation (SUI)

We have a team of highly qualified and experienced Dial Before You Dig Accredited Utility Locators and Surveyors who are experts at not only investigating and marking underground utilities, but in translating utility information into engineering-grade survey data.

Paul Wallis

NSW Project Management

The NSW Project Management Team, including senior staff across all disciplines, focus on adding value to our clients’ projects. This may be through improved consultation, design or innovation resulting in economically viable, sustainable, and socially acceptable outcomes.
